Albion prelude which start
I cant buy it yet because its 28 million and I only have 7 million from selling the starting Katana. I cant make money using the stock exchange because it needs 1 station built first!! Catch 22 problem!! I searched for some solutions here but they all say do taxi missions but barely find any.
I tried running to Teladi space died once on the way. Kinda stuck. Using Salvage Insurance saved game at this key moment. Sent 4 boarding pods with Marines without high hacking skill. Fired Flail Barrage Missiles to suppress enemy shield regeneration and then transferred 5 marines without high hacking skill from another Cobra, following my own Cobra.
Sent 1 boarding pod. Fired Flail Barrage Missiles to suppress enemy shield regeneration and then transferred 4 instead of 5, could be 5 marines with high hacking skill from another Cobra, following my own Cobra. Fired Flail Barrage Missiles to suppress enemy shield regeneration I lost seven Marines during boarding process. Three my own Marines were bailed out and were picked up by me after boarding operation.

Personally I prefer the Teladi Kestrel over the Octopus. The rear turret of the Mamba raider for missile defence more than makes up for the lower shielding. No PBEs? Those are good for bail capping. Surprising considering the Octopus series only has S class cargo while the Jumpdrive requires M class cargo. You also need a Sirokos for boarding xenon capital ships since the 21 large first wave really helps. Surprised you lost any since 10 should be enough marines to have no casulaties during boarding commonwealth ships if the marines used have a high fight skill.
For the Xenon I aim to have 30 marines with fight skill, 14 with 55 Mechanical 10 for the first wave and 4 for the second and 2 with 88 hacking send on the second wave. Therefore use the second wave method for the least amount of reloading. Aug 18, DrSuperEvil wrote: You forgot to mention no stock market use.
DrSuperEvil wrote Aug 18, Do not underestimate the stock market if you manipulate EBCs. It is possible to earn the 25 million credits within under 6 hours using it. Also for finding the Xenon I it is best to look in Xenon Sector As RR ships usually have arrived in the sector by this time there is no priority for the player to engage the Terran ships unless they want to.
Again player participation is optional. After watching the fireworks the TL jumps out and the player is asked to head back to the west Military Outpost in Argon Sector and asked to again aid the war effort.
Commentary: Same as before except 3x M4s spawn at km from the player ship. After getting enough points not shown in the game UI the player will be asked to dock at the west Military Outpost in Argon Sector for more dialog. Commentary: Aron Derik will inform the player that the Jonferco Headquarters is under attack by the Terrans and help the player is required.
The player will be told to patrol the sector but the only necessary target is the 3x Lasertowers which are in deployment 10 minutes before they can start shooting back.
Killing the Lasertowers has no negative impact on Terran Race Rank If lucky the collision sphere of the Jonferco Headquarters will scatter the Lasertowers when entering the sector making them easy targets for an M6 or heavier ship. Otherwise use a Firestorm Torpedo to kill the whole cluster in a single shot. If lucky some PBCs will drop. Another 4x Terran M3s will spawn which can be mopped up by RR ships. The player will then be asked to return back to the west Military Outpost in Argon Sector for more dialog.
Commentary: Jonferco is in a bad state so needs a TS protected carrying military supplies. As the spawned ships sit idle unless a hostile ship is nearby they are seldom a threat to the TP if left alone.
If the TP dies the mission if failed but skips to the next part of the plot after minutes. Commentary: With Jonferco weakened Plutarch has started a take over of Albion but Pirates are attacking the remaining Jonferco assets despite Plutarch patrols. This means it is up to the player deal with the Pirates.
Local sector forces should be enough to handle the ships if the player is friendly with the Pirates, otherwise nothing an M6 cannot handle.
The player is then ordered to check on another research station in Albion Alpha. Commentary: After some dialog between Aron Derik and Leea Kaswin the player is asked to help the Beryll a "sophisticated criminal organisation" who precipitated the Terran Conflict. The first task is to deploy some Lasertowers near the Beryll Research Station. Head to Albion Alpha and just eject the Lasertowers from the player ship when close enough 4.
Long answer: As per usual the first time around I like to player the standard starts, with the plots an all, once. And in AP's case there are 2. After that I revert back to 2 of the start I tend to use, the one mentioned above, Humble merchant so I can can get to trade from the get go. While that will force me to have some fights as Bounty Hunters spawn trying to kill me, I still go mainly the trader route in that one too, but may capture some hostile ships at the beginning usually I'm not into piracy and like to earn my credits with legal trade.
