OoVoo only offers pay-per-minute rates for calls to telephone numbers. OoVoo allows users to automatically add their entire Facebook friend list to their contacts list. Although this is an advantage over Skype, this feature may be redundant if the user's Facebook friends are happy to use Facebook's built-in messenger and video chat tools.

Skype only allows two users to communicate over a video chat unless at least one person on the call is a premium member. It has an overall limit of 10 people on a call, though Skype recommends a maximum of five people.

Although Facebook will not be purchasing OoVoo as it did Instagram , it may be a good idea. OoVoo will certainly give Facebook an advantage in the video chat arena, as it has already stood successfully on its own.
