At the funeral, Angela's grave marked as is shown, surrounded by a group of people, including her school teacher and her only friend. It is implied that the boy is the ghost of a young child who was killed from being abused and then comes to her, before she passes and shows her friendship.

Its usually someone either in or close to the family for all you parents needing baby sitters! I guess its a vicious cycle. This is the song I listened to when I recently went thru hard very hhard times.
Literally put it on repeat n listened to it a million times. It gave me a sense of calm I guess. I literally either tear up orstraight up cry every single time I hear it, there couldn't have been a better person to sing it either. I should say if you get abused get help right now!
Why wait ur only hurting urself. But its not like it will make a diff. Ur usually to scared of them either hurting you or loved ones. Or you don't wanna get thm in trouble. Or ur scared that you will get in trouble. They make you feel like that on purpose. Its not ok! Anything that makes you ncomfortable or unhappy is not ok. Atleast talk to a counselor or something. It's a song about a little girl that is abused by her mother, and she tries to hide it.
But, despite her pain and the despair she has a place that she goes for happiness. There's one night that veryone can here her screams and can guess what is happening, but they pay no mind and turn their thought and eyes away. The night that the girl is killed. It ends on a note that makes you happier, though because it mentions that there is a gravestone where there shouldn't be, but that she's still happy.
I love this song. It struck deep in my soul. I nearly cry when I hear it, and I sing it all the time, I have it memorized. Abuse of any kind is wrong, just utterly wrong, and those who die from physical abuse deserve a high place in the heavens for trying to survive through it.
Because they truly are angels in this world, whether they choose to act like it or not. I'm a survivor of emotional abuse myself, and when I heard this song it brought a lot of memories that I never really wanterd to think about again. But it's helped me. To Getajob: child abuse and abortion are two polar opposites.
What if someone was to abort their child that they may have never wanted because they know that stuff like this will happen to their child if its born.
Abortion isn't always murder. It can be mercy, too. And this song is beautiful and I came the closest I have ever come to crying over a song when I heard it. No child deserves abuse, and I don't see how anyone can see a little face staring up at them and then beat on them like that. Or anyone, for that matter. It just goes to show that humans can be violent and careless sometimes. Arguably, this place is Heaven. However, some people have argued that the girl is crying out for help rather than actually weeping.
I believe it is the latter, but lyrics are always open for interpretation. At this point, her "fate" was inexorable. The girl died. In the video, the girl's name is Angela Carter. This is also the name of the singer's niece, for whom the song was written. If you are currently in a dangerous situation like Angela's, please get help. There is hope for you. There are people who can help you.
It is not too late. Good luck. Love to all. Hey there. A lot of people have requested this so I thought I'd give it shot. This song is about child abuse. Look at the lyrics. She walks to school with a lunch she packed shows that she is responsible for herself. Wearing the same dress she wore yesterday says that no one cares enough to give her clean clothing. She hides the bruises with the linen and lace shows that she is scared to say what is happening to her.
The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask it's hard to see the pain behind the mask says that people do wonder but the girl seems happy enough so they don't really want to ask. Bearing the burden of a secret storm sometimes she wishes she was never born says that she is in danger and knows it but doesn't want to anything about it out of fear.
The chorus is really great. It says through the wind and the rain she stands hard as a stone in a world that she can't rise above. This relates to the concrete part in that she stands hard as a stone and also to the angel part in she can't rise above. An angel with broken wings possibly?
But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place where she's loved says that although all these awful things are happening to her she still dreams of a better place and eventually she will leave this hellhole and go where she is loved i.
Heaven :- The third verse is somebody cries in the middle of the night the neighbours hear but they turn out the light. This says that on the one time she does cry out for help is the one time when people metaphorically cross the road and ignore it.
Out of sight, out of mind. I think this is terrible. I am not exaggerating when I say my friend and I were in tears literally one minute into the song. I am a very emotional person; I cry during movies, commercials, basically anything sad, sappy, or too adorable, I tear up. But my friend who never cried, I think I saw her cry maybe twice the whole time I was friends with her, and watching this video was one of them.
I love music more than anything, and I think it can connect with a person on so many mental and emotional levels, but sometimes the music videos just make the song that much better.
